Course Description
The material presented here focuses on core controversies surrounding the increased use of closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) for the purposes of crime control and general surveillance. The material is an audio file, originally 28 minutes in length, and examines the issues around the increased use of CCTV in the UK. It was recorded in 1994.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- illustrate how CCTV is used for general surveillance;
- give examples of how CCTV can be used for crime control.
